An idol-turned-actress revealed why she wanted to show her true self to the public, drawing attention and sympathy from netizens.
On July 15th, a video featuring Son Naeun, originally an Apink member who now actively promotes as an actress, was uploaded on YouTube.
Son Naeun plays Jung Sang Ah, an assistant manager at a bank and an agent of the Special Task Force, in SBS‘s drama Manager Kim.
In the video, MC Ha Ji Young asked Son Naeun, “It must feel different to do an interview like this after a while. You said it’s your first time appearing alone on YouTube sharing your story.”
Son Naeun nodded and said, “Before, I didn’t have opportunities and wasn’t good with words. I was very cautious about everything I did.”
She continued, “But as I got older, my mindset changed. I wanted to show who I really am. Even though I’ve been active for a long time, many people only see the stereotypical image of me.”
Born in 1994, Son Naeun debuted in 2011 as a member of the group Apink and left the group in 2022. Since then, she has been active as an actress, appearing in various dramas.
