As the post racked up millions of views, netizens directed blistering criticism toward the young idol, calling him ignorant and racist.

While many fans came to his defense, one of them decided to directly approach the original creator of the videos, LaNia the Artist, and ask her opinion on James’s recreations. She responded to the fan’s question, reassuring that she didn’t feel mocked by the idol’s videos, and even stated that she “loved it.”

LaNia the Artist also showed her appreciation by reposting James’s video after this conversation with the fan, further solidifying her stance.
