ATEEZ has reached another major milestone in its career after earning its third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5.”
According to Billboard’s latest chart preview released on July 5, the group’s newest album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after earning 228,000 equivalent album units during its first tracking week.
Out of that total, 223,000 units came from pure album sales, helped by multiple CD and vinyl versions released for fans, Variety reported.
The achievement marks ATEEZ’s third chart-topping album in the United States. The group previously reached No. 1 with “THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL” in 2023 and “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2” in 2024.
With the latest result, ATEEZ has now placed nine albums inside the Billboard 200 Top 10 since 2022.
Billboard reported that this gives the group the most Top 10 albums among all groups in the 2020s, breaking its previous tie with Stray Kids and Tomorrow X Together.
“GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5” was also the only new album to debut inside this week’s Top 10 chart. The album outperformed several major releases, including projects from Olivia Rodrigo and Drake.
ATEEZ Sets New Sales Record
The Billboard 200 rankings combine physical album sales, streaming activity, and digital track purchases to measure overall album performance in the United States.
Along with topping the Billboard 200, ATEEZ also secured the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, setting new personal records for the group.
According to AllKPop, ATEEZ released “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5” on June 26. The mini album includes the title track “BAD” along with songs such as “MAMACITA,” “TOXIN,” “Fallin’,” and “Body.”
The project explores moments driven by instinct and emotion while highlighting the group’s diverse musical style.
The album’s success extended beyond the United States. It reportedly sold around 1.88 million copies during its first week, becoming ATEEZ’s seventh million-selling album.
The release also topped charts on Hanteo, Circle Chart Retail Album Chart, Bugs Album Chart, and iTunes Top Albums in 31 countries.
The group is currently promoting “BAD” and will soon meet fans during its upcoming fan meeting event in Seoul later this month.
