SEVENTEEN member Joshua delivered a speech at a UNESCO commemorative ceremony held at the main hall of UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France on the 25th (local time) for the global youth support program “Going Together.”
He said, “Let’s keep going together,” adding that “even SEVENTEEN, which has shared one dream for over 10 years as 13 members, has gone through uncertainty. However, we were able to move further with trust in one another and the belief that we are stronger together.” He continued, “We have promised to continue moving forward as one team.”
Joshua also addressed young people worldwide, saying, “I can see beautiful synergy in all of you as well. You are each walking your own paths across different regions and cultures. Although your challenges may differ, we are on the same path in that we are all working toward a better world. So let’s continue moving forward together.”
On this day, Joshua attended the event representing SEVENTEEN as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors under UNESCO. The ceremony marked the conclusion of the Going Together – For Youth Creativity & Well-Being program and the announcement of expanded support for outstanding groups.

Dressed in a black suit, Joshua delivered a six-minute speech in English. He said he was honored to be there and added that the members also wished to attend. He recalled that when SEVENTEEN was appointed as Youth Goodwill Ambassadors, both the group and UNESCO shared the belief in empowering young people to drive change.
He described Going Together as a program that provides resources, mentoring, and opportunities for young people to turn their ideas into meaningful change. He added that the passion and creativity of youth deeply moved the group, leading them to expand their support.

SEVENTEEN previously contributed $1 million (approximately 1.51 billion KRW) to establish a global youth fund when appointed as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors in 2024. The fund supports projects related to youth creativity, resilience, mental health, and community development through music, arts, and sports.
Joshua emphasized that youth already hold the answers to changing the world and said, “They just need someone to believe in them.” He added that SEVENTEEN also went through similar challenges and stressed the importance of “trust” and “togetherness.” As his speech concluded, the audience responded with loud applause and cheers.
SEVENTEEN will continue its activities as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors.
