On May 1, Ravi posted several photos of himself on social media. In the images, he appeared to be working inside a room. He did not add any caption to the post, but fans responded with supportive comments. The update drew attention because it came after Ravi publicly apologized in March and revealed that he had completed his remaining service period.
Ravi Apologized After Completing His Service
On March 27, Ravi wrote, “Hello, this is Ravi. It has been a long time since I greeted you.” He explained that he had been serving as a social service worker since October 2022, but his service was interrupted due to a trial related to a violation of the Military Service Act. According to Ravi, he later followed the Military Manpower Administration’s decision and completed the rest of his service before being discharged on December 13, 2025.

In his apology, he reflected on his actions, saying, “As I went through this process, I felt deeply ashamed of myself for asking for understanding while using my personal situation and environment as excuses when I should have looked back on myself and held myself accountable.”

He added, “I realized that a cowardly choice can hurt and damage others. I once again apologize to those who were hurt by my wrong actions, and I will continue to learn and discipline myself so that I can live as a better person.”
Ravi Convicted In A Military Service Act Violation Case
According to prosecutors, Ravi was indicted without detention on charges of conspiring with a military service broker to pretend he had epilepsy, obtain a false diagnosis, and attempt to avoid military service.
Investigators said Ravi received an “epilepsy scenario” from the broker, acted as though he had fainted, and underwent hospital testing. Although a doctor reportedly said symptoms could not be confirmed, Ravi allegedly continued to request medication and obtained an opinion for drug treatment. After Ravi submitted a medical certificate to the Military Manpower Administration in 2021 suggesting suspected epilepsy, the broker reportedly sent him a message saying, “Good, you’re exempt from the military.”
Ravi admitted all charges during his first trial. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 1 year in prison, suspended for 2 years, along with 120 hours of community service. The court said the offense was serious because Ravi had carefully planned the attempt with the broker despite not having epilepsy symptoms. However, it also considered that he was a first-time offender, admitted wrongdoing, showed remorse, and appeared likely to fulfill his military duty after being re-evaluated.
Ravi chose not to appeal the first ruling, but prosecutors appealed, arguing that the sentence was too light. The prosecution had previously sought a 2-year prison sentence. The appellate court later upheld the original ruling of 1 year in prison, suspended for 2 years.
