The controversy surrounding Jisoo of BLACKPINK has taken a new turn as her older brother, Kim Jung Hoon, faces intensifying public scrutiny over allegations of misconduct—and now, claims of attempting to suppress damaging reports.

According to online discussions that have rapidly gained traction, netizens believe they have uncovered “evidence” suggesting that Kim Jung Hoon may have used financial resources and influence to quietly remove past articles related to earlier accusations. Screenshots circulating on Korean forum Nate Pann appear to show that two news reports from 2025—linked to alleged illegal filming accusations—are no longer accessible. Instead, users are met with a notice stating that the articles were deleted at the publisher’s request.

The disappearance of these reports has sparked widespread backlash, with many online users speculating that the businessman leveraged the fame and wealth of his sister to “clean up” his image. While no concrete evidence has verified these claims, the speed at which the narrative has spread highlights growing public distrust.
This latest wave of criticism comes on top of a series of serious allegations against Kim Jung Hoon. He has previously been accused of illegal filming, which he denied at the time while threatening legal action. More recently, he has been linked—though not officially named—to a case involving the alleged sexual assault of a female streamer. The situation escalated further when a woman claiming to be his second wife posted graphic evidence of physical abuse, detailing what she described as a pattern of domestic violence.

Amid the mounting controversy, the woman also made an unexpected appeal: she urged the public not to direct hate toward Jisoo. In her statement, she explained that she had been unaware of her husband’s connection to the K-pop star at the time of their marriage, only discovering the truth later. Emphasizing that the idol is not involved in the alleged actions, she called for restraint and fairness in public reactions.
Online opinion, however, remains sharply divided. Some argue that Jisoo should distance herself publicly from her brother to protect her reputation, while others insist she should not be held accountable for a family member’s alleged wrongdoing. Comments such as “Money is power” and “Why blame Jisoo?” reflect the conflicting sentiments dominating social media.

As of now, both Jisoo and Kim Jung Hoon have remained silent. The lack of an official statement has only fueled further speculation, leaving the situation unresolved as public attention continues to intensify.
