At the same time, some users questioned whether the situation was staged. They speculated that QunQun RiniU might have orchestrated the “no fans” scenario to gain public sympathy and attract attention. According to this viewpoint, it seems unlikely for a group with years of activity to fail to draw even a single attendee. However, others pushed back against this claim, arguing that the members’ visibly exhausted and disheartened expressions did not resemble acting.
In a more recent development, QunQun RiniU held another fan event and this time, the outcome was different. The group managed to avoid being ignored, as a noticeable number of fans attended the event, marking a small but meaningful turnaround.
Not long ago, another Japanese celebrity experienced a similar situation. Model Minami Awa had organized a fan handshake event at an entertainment venue late last year, only for it to be canceled due to zero attendance.
At the time, she shared a photo of herself sitting alone at the empty venue, looking visibly discouraged. The image resonated with many international fans, who expressed sympathy for her situation.
