On April 8, IU appeared on MBC FM4U’s Perfect Day with Lee Sang Soon, where she joined as the lead of the upcoming drama Perfect Crown.
During a music break, veteran singer Bae Chul Soo stopped by the radio booth and warmly greeted IU. The two exchanged a handshake and a brief conversation. As Bae Chul Soo prepared to leave, IU bowed deeply at a 90-degree angle, showing her respect and politeness.

Bae Chul Soo currently hosts Bae Chul Soo’s Music Camp, which airs daily at 6 PM on MBC FM4U.
IU is set to return to the small screen on April 10 with Perfect Crown. The drama is set in a modern constitutional monarchy Korea and tells the story of a wealthy chaebol heiress who remains a commoner and a prince who, despite his royal status, has nothing. Their romance explores themes of destiny and breaking social barriers.
During the broadcast, IU was asked whether balancing both singing and acting is difficult. She candidly replied, “There are times when it’s physically exhausting, but not doing it would be even harder. Life would feel boring.”
She added, “There are so many small moments of happiness in the process. Even when I look tired on the outside, I feel happy inside.”
