In a rare and heartwarming announcement, two members of the same active Japanese idol group, Venus Parfait, have revealed that they are expecting children.

The group, which debuted on June 17, 2023 under I-GET, is known for its unconventional structure. Unlike most idol groups, its members are not full-time entertainers, instead balancing their idol activities with regular jobs and performing mainly on weekends.

Members Kawai Fuka and Usaki Yuki have both announced their pregnancies and plans to temporarily step away from activities.

Fuka was the first to share the news and has already begun her maternity leave. Shortly after, Yuki revealed her own pregnancy through social media, explaining that the early stages were physically challenging, forcing her to scale back on solo work. She added that her condition has since stabilized.
Notably, this will be the second child for both idols, who are already mothers.

Yuki shared that she plans to stop performing live by the end of the month as a precaution, especially considering the potential risks associated with pregnancies over the age of 35. She acknowledged that her second pregnancy may present additional challenges compared to her first.
Despite the temporary hiatus, both idols have expressed their intention to return to group activities after giving birth, reassuring fans of their continued commitment to the group.
Venus Parfait’s situation stands out in the idol industry, where strict schedules and image expectations often make personal milestones like marriage and parenthood difficult to navigate publicly.
Their openness about pregnancy and family life offers a refreshing perspective, showing that it is possible to pursue both idol careers and motherhood.
