In a preview released on April 6 for the tvN variety show You Quiz on the Block, Kim Nam Gil revealed behind-the-scenes details of his exhausting fan meeting experience.
He said, “The day after the fan meeting, I slept all day without even eating, so my mother said she thought I was dead,” adding humorously, “It was the first time I dozed off even during the after-party.” The actor admitted that the long event completely drained his energy.
Kim Nam Gil held his 2026 fan meeting “G.I.L” on March 28 at KBS Arena. The event lasted approximately 5 hours and 12 minutes. During the fan meeting, he even surprised fans by declaring his debut as a singer and performing his new song “Running To You” live.
When Kim Nam Gil confessed that he dreams of topping music charts and said, “At least it should enter the Top 10 for me to say anything,” host Yoo Jae Suk responded, “These days, even entering the Top 100 is difficult,” drawing laughter.
Kim Nam Gil continued with more humorous stories, saying, “My mother listened to the song and scoffed.” He also shared that his bodyguard commented, “It seems like you had a lot to say in the lyrics—they’re very dense.”
Toward the end of the preview, Kim Nam Gil showed his talkative side by asking, “Is the recording already over? It feels like it ended faster than last time,” adding to the lighthearted mood.
Meanwhile, Kim Nam Gil previously made headlines for holding a 5-hour and 40-minute fan meeting last year, even sparking jokes about “kidnapping fans” due to its length. This year, he once again proved his reputation by hosting another marathon fan event lasting over five hours.
