The globally renowned K-pop awards ceremony, MAMA Awards, has officially announced its 2026 schedule and venue, reaffirming its status as one of the most influential music events in the industry.
Organized by CJ ENM, the 2026 MAMA Awards will be held over two days—November 20 and 21—at the iconic Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. The event will also be broadcast live worldwide through digital platforms including Mnet Plus, allowing fans across the globe to participate in real time.
Since its inception in 1999 as the Video Music Awards, the ceremony has evolved into a major pan-Asian music event by 2009, and later rebranded in 2022 to strengthen its global identity. Over nearly three decades, the MAMA Awards have consistently showcased cutting-edge performances and set new standards for K-pop production on an international scale.

The 2026 edition promises another leap forward. Under the core theme “Music Makes ONE,” organizers are preparing a wide range of on-site and digital experiences designed to unite global fandoms. Beyond the main ceremony, expanded programs and interactive events are expected to break traditional boundaries and enhance fan engagement worldwide.
The awards show has already demonstrated its global reach in recent years. In 2024, it made history by hosting a relay event across Los Angeles and Osaka, while in 2025 it earned international recognition by winning “Best General Entertainment Programme” at the Asian Academy Creative Awards.
With global payment technology company Visa joining as the title sponsor, anticipation is high for what promises to be a landmark edition of the MAMA Awards. As K-pop continues to dominate the global music scene, the 2026 ceremony is expected to deliver unforgettable performances and further solidify its role as a cultural bridge connecting fans worldwide.
