On March 27, Jisoo of BLACKPINK appeared in a YouTube video titled “Career vs Love? Jisoo’s Choice? #Let’sHearIt” released on the channel “Harper’s BAZAAR Korea,” where she candidly shared her thoughts on relationships, life choices, and personal values.
During the video, Jisoo responded to fans’ 고민 (concerns) in a calm and realistic manner, drawing particular attention for her firm stance on rekindling past relationships. When asked whether it’s okay to get back together with an ex, she clearly answered, “No. I don’t think it’s a good idea. It’s not like you broke up easily, right? Turning those feelings around seems difficult.” She added, “Once I turn my back, I don’t look back. To make me turn around, it would take a lot of effort.”
Her comments come into the spotlight following her past public relationship with Ahn Bo-hyun, which ended after about two months in 2023. While she did not mention him directly, her perspective on breakups drew attention for its honesty and finality.
Jisoo also shared her philosophy on love, emphasizing a selfless mindset. She explained, “When it comes to love, not expecting anything in return is really important. The more you expect something back, the more drained you feel.” She added that true happiness comes from appreciating the act of giving itself rather than focusing on reciprocation.
Beyond relationships, Jisoo offered practical advice on handling fear and uncertainty in life. Addressing concerns about losing a stable job or income, she said that fear is natural but should not hold someone back. Instead, she encouraged people to adapt quickly and view change as an opportunity for something better.
She also revealed her personal coping methods for stress and burnout. Jisoo shared that when she feels overwhelmed, she prefers to sleep to reset her thoughts, explaining that rest helps simplify her mindset. When dealing with burnout, she focuses on small joys such as eating, resting, and watching cartoons, noting that having multiple sources of happiness helps her recover faster.

On days when she feels completely unmotivated, Jisoo takes a different approach: “I just don’t do anything. I think resting that day helps me do better later.” She emphasized that allowing oneself to rest without guilt can actually become a source of renewed energy.
Highlighting her outlook on life, Jisoo said she values small, everyday happiness—whether it’s enjoying good food or simply having a few hours of personal time after a busy day. Her grounded and relatable advice resonated with viewers, offering a glimpse into the mindset behind her calm and positive image.

Jisoo’s candid reflections in this video not only shed light on her personal values but also reinforced her reputation for sincerity, as fans continue to respond positively to her honest and thoughtful perspective on love and life.
