On April 10, IU will make her comeback with “Perfect Crown”. Set in a fictional universe, the drama tells the love story between Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress dissatisfied with her lack of power, and Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a royal who possesses nothing but his title.
The project has already drawn attention for its large-scale production and star-studded cast. Speaking about the drama, IU shared that the unique title left a strong impression on her. She also expressed fascination with the unpredictable actions of her character and the motivations behind them.

Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok expressed excitement about reconnecting with audiences after a long break. He noted that from the moment he read the script, he felt it was a compelling project where each character’s choices would lead to distinct outcomes.
Preview images released by the production team highlight the strong chemistry and visual harmony between IU and Byeon Woo Seok, further raising anticipation for the premiere.
On April 13, Kim Go Eun will return with Season 3 of “Yumi’s Cells.” Based on a popular webtoon, the series follows office worker Yumi (Kim Go Eun), whose thoughts, emotions, and actions are controlled by personified brain cells.

After two successful seasons, the drama has built a loyal fanbase, particularly among viewers who enjoy the rare blend of live-action storytelling and 3D animation in Korean television.
Season 3 continues Yumi’s journey as a successful writer who still struggles with her love life. The introduction of Soon Rok (Kim Jae Won) brings new emotional dynamics, softening Yumi’s once-guarded heart while she, in turn, energizes his introverted personality.
Korean media note that the nearly four-year gap since Season 2 has only heightened anticipation for the new installment, with Kim Jae Won’s addition bringing fresh appeal.
Also premiering in April (April 18) is “We Are All Trying Here”, starring Go Youn Jung. The project marks her return just three months after the success of her previous drama.

The story follows Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), a man who feels left behind among his successful peers. Struggling with pain, jealousy, and envy, he embarks on a journey to find inner peace, accompanied by film producer Byun Eun Ah (Go Youn Jung), who hides her own emotional wounds behind a strong exterior.
The drama is also drawing attention for its creative team, led by director Cha Young Hoon, known for “When the Camellia Blooms,” and writer Park Hae Young, famous for works like “Another Miss Oh,” “My Mister,” and “My Liberation Notes.”
With three top stars returning in high-profile projects, April is shaping up to be one of the most competitive months for Korean dramas. Which actress and which drama will ultimately come out on top remains an open question.
