“I heard that ARMYs got home safely, and I just finished watching the Netflix broadcast of the Gwanghwamun performance,” he began. He also revealed that he had been checking out album reactions beforehand, saying, “I watched a lot of reviews for the ‘ARIRANG’ album on my way here.”
Letting out a sigh, V added that he was even considering filming his own review, explaining that he was curious about how fans perceived their long-awaited comeback stage.
Pressure Behind the Comeback
V did not hide the immense pressure he felt while preparing for BTS’s reunion performance.
“Since it’s been a while since all seven of us prepared something together, we really tried to work extremely hard,” he shared. “Because it’s been so long, I wanted to do well without being nervous, so I practiced several times more than usual.”
He emphasized that the group aimed for perfection:
“We wanted to show a perfect performance and be evaluated by ARMY.”
Despite the successful concert, V hinted at lingering feelings, sighing again during the live broadcast and admitting, “It still feels a bit awkward.”
Love for the ‘ARIRANG’ Album
V also spoke about the group’s new album ARIRANG, expressing his deep appreciation for its emotional depth.
“There are many versions of ‘Arirang.’ You can sing it when you’re happy, when you’re sad—it carries so many emotions. Those feelings matched well with the latter part of ‘Body to Body,’” he explained.
He added that while the idea didn’t come from him, he grew to appreciate it:
“At first I was like, ‘Huh?’ but the more I listened, the more I thought, ‘Oh, this is good.’”
“We Really Gave It Our All”
As the album was officially released, V humbly asked for continued support from fans:
“It’s only been a day, but it seems like we’re getting a lot of good responses. We really worked hard—we gritted our teeth preparing this—so please show us lots of love.”
He also revealed the physical toll of preparation, saying, “I lost a lot of weight. Even when I exercise, it doesn’t really come back.”
