On March 13, Noh Seul Bi appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel Beautiful Nerd, where she shared her thoughts and behind-the-scenes experiences from the Disney+ original variety program Battle of Fates.
The show, which recently concluded, featured 49 fortune-tellers competing in various missions to test their abilities in what was described as a “spirit-driven survival program.” Noh Seul Bi gained attention for her striking performance as a shaman, particularly for accurately identifying causes of death, earning her the nickname “MZ shaman.”
During the interview, host Jeon Kyung Min asked about one of the missions on the show. Noh Seul Bi recalled, “At the scene, I felt a cold sensation. Then my grandmother spirit told me it was an accidental death. I heard the deceased was a well-known figure, but the image was too blurry to recognize. I saw something like a rope and the word ‘accident,’ so I simply conveyed what I sensed.”

As speculation about possible manipulation in Battle of Fates grew online, Noh Seul Bi addressed the issue directly. She dismissed the claims, saying, “The production team doesn’t have the kind of budget needed to stage something like that. Does it make sense that professional shamans would act according to a script just to highlight someone else? Even if they tried to silence all 49 participants with money, that wouldn’t be possible.”
Her straightforward response has drawn attention, as viewers continue to debate the authenticity of reality-based spiritual programs while also recognizing the growing influence of figures like Noh Seul Bi in modern entertainment.
