TWICE’s Dahyun will miss the group’s upcoming “THIS IS FOR” concerts in Taipei later this week as she continues to recover from a stress fracture in her ankle, her agency has announced.
JYP Entertainment released a statement on Mar. 17 saying Dahyun will not take part in the shows at Taipei Dome, which are scheduled from Mar. 20 to 22. The company explained that she has not yet fully recovered and will focus on treatment and rest instead of performing.
According to the agency, Dahyun first experienced ankle pain during the world tour and visited a hospital, where she was diagnosed with a stress fracture by medical staff, according to Soompi. She has since been undergoing treatment, including wearing a brace and a half cast, while the company closely monitors her condition.
The singer had already been absent from the North American leg of the “THIS IS FOR” tour, which ran from Feb. 13 to Mar. 7, after an earlier announcement about the same injury. At that time, JYP Entertainment said she would temporarily suspend performances based on doctors’ advice that she needed sufficient rest and continuous care, Chosun reported.
In its latest update, the agency said the decision for her to skip the Taipei concerts was made after careful discussions with Dahyun and medical professionals. They noted that performing intense choreography before a full recovery could worsen the injury, so her health was being prioritized over tour schedules.
JYP Entertainment added that Dahyun plans to rejoin the world tour once she has fully recovered and regained her strength. The agency also expressed apologies to fans who had been looking forward to seeing her in Taipei and thanked them for their continued support, as per allkpop.
“THIS IS FOR” is TWICE’s latest release, tied to their ongoing world tour, featuring new songs that highlight the group’s signature pop sound and performance-focused tracks.
The album serves as the musical foundation for the tour setlist, with several of its titles and B-side tracks performed as key stages during shows worldwide. It continues the group’s expansion into global markets, reflecting their aim to connect with fans across Asia, North America, and beyond through both new music and large-scale concerts.
