Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam, who withdrew from the group in 2022 following school bullying allegations, has surprised the public with her new personal update. Kim debuted glamorously with LE SSERAFIM in May 2022, but her career halted abruptly when accusations emerged claiming she had behaved inappropriately during middle school. After a heated controversy, she ultimately left the group and ended her contract. Despite this, she continued pursuing an entertainment path by enrolling in an acting major.
Recently, Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam has officially launched her own YouTube channel, marking her first major step toward reconnecting with fans after leaving the group. The channel is expected to feature personal updates and lifestyle content, giving viewers a glimpse into her daily life. With this new platform, Garam appears to be starting a fresh chapter while building a more direct connection with the public.
Last year, Kim Garam posted several new photos on her personal account, accompanied by a simple heart emoji. In the images, she wears a soft, oversized white knit sweater paired with a black skirt, exuding a delicate and innocent charm. With noticeably longer straight hair and bright, clear eyes, she showed that her idol-like visuals remain unchanged. The setting a park at dusk, with bare winter trees and warm lighting added a dreamy, serene atmosphere that emphasized her quiet presence.

Fans flooded the comments with reactions such as, “I missed you,” “When can we see you again?” and “She could return as an idol right now her visuals are still top-tier.”
Kim Garam became embroiled in controversy shortly after her debut teaser dropped, when online communities accused her of involvement in school bullying. At the time, her agency Source Music denied the allegations, claiming she had been the victim rather than the perpetrator. However, former schoolmates later released photos and documents indicating she had received disciplinary action, intensifying the public backlash. Ultimately, on July 20, 2022 just two months after debut Kim Garam’s contract was terminated and her departure from LE SSERAFIM was announced.
She is not the first idol to leave a group due to school bullying accusations. In February 2021, former i-dle member Soojin faced similar allegations when a netizen claimed their younger sibling had suffered severe abuse by her during middle school. Actress Seo Shin Ae later added that she, too, had been mistreated by Soojin, shocking the public. By March 2022, Cube Entertainment officially terminated Soojin’s contract, stating that although she denied the accusations, she expressed a desire not to cause further harm to her team.
