On March 10, a video titled “From Hermès Bags to Gangnam Must-Haves: Go Jun Hee’s What’s In My Bag” was uploaded to her YouTube channel. During the video, Go Jun Hee revealed that despite owning several luxury bags, she now mostly uses a backpack in her daily life.
She said that even Chanel employees once asked her where the bags she purchased from the brand had gone. “They ask where the bags I bought from Chanel went,” she said, explaining that she rarely carries them now. When asked when she last used them, the actress joked, “I think I used them back when I was younger and more energetic.”
Go Jun Hee also revisited her experience with “Cha-tech”, a term referring to investing in Chanel items as their value increases over time. She revealed that although she used to own many luxury bags, she now only keeps about 12 pieces after giving some away, selling others second-hand, and sharing some with her mother.

The actress also recalled receiving her first luxury bag from her father. “It was a gift for my coming-of-age. My dad said he would buy me my first luxury bag, so I was really excited,” she said. At the time, she purchased the bag during a filming trip to Paris, where it cost about 1.2 million won, roughly 300,000 won cheaper than duty-free prices.
Go Jun Hee explained that most of the luxury bags she owns today were purchased during her 20s, when prices typically ranged from 2 to 3 million won. “I didn’t buy them as an investment, but since I bought them early, they naturally became ‘Cha-tech,’” she said with a laugh. “Even I couldn’t buy the same bag now.”
According to the actress, the bag she originally purchased for 1.2 million won is now worth more than ten times its original price. Despite owning several luxury handbags, Go Jun Hee said she now prefers backpacks after noticing how popular they were during a trip to Berlin. “Everyone in Berlin was carrying backpacks, even in select shops. People ride bicycles to work, and it looked really cool. That’s when I realized backpacks are actually very hip,” she said.
