According to an exclusive report by MBN, the Bangbae Police Station in Seoul recently forwarded a male suspect, identified only as A, to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office on charges of sexual intercourse by abuse of authority.
Authorities say the alleged incident occurred in Seoul last year, where the suspect is accused of sexually assaulting a woman referred to as B.Reports indicate that the victim managed to escape from the scene and immediately contacted authorities by calling 112, South Korea’s emergency number.
During the police investigation, the suspect reportedly strongly denied the allegations. However, investigators concluded that there was sufficient evidence to support the charge and decided to refer the case to prosecutors.
The identity of the actor has not been publicly disclosed, though reports describe him as one of the country’s leading musical performers. Further details about the case are expected to be revealed in an upcoming broadcast of MBN’s “News 7.”
