On March 6, Hyeri uploaded a new episode of her YouTube content, Hyell’s Club, featuring Boyfriend on Demand stars Jisoo and Seo In Guk as guests. During the conversation, Hyeri revealed an unexpected connection she shares with Seo In Guk dating back several years.
The two actors first met after the tvN 10th Anniversary Awards, when director Shin Won Ho gathered the cast members of the Reply series for a group dinner.
Seo In Guk, who starred in Reply 1997, recalled how the shared connection between actors from the same franchise created an instant sense of familiarity. “When you’re part of the same series, you naturally feel an inner closeness,” he said.
Hyeri, who played a leading role in Reply 1988, agreed with the sentiment and described the atmosphere of the gathering. “It felt like meeting relatives,” she said, adding that the cast members quickly bonded despite appearing in different installments of the series.
The moment highlighted the lasting connection among actors who participated in the iconic drama franchise, which remains one of the most beloved series in Korean television history. Meanwhile, Seo In Guk currently stars alongside BLACKPINK’s Jisoo in the Netflix romantic fantasy drama Boyfriend on Demand, which recently premiered.
