On the March 4 broadcast of Radio Star on MBC, Jo Hyun Ah appeared as a guest alongside Oh Seung-hwan, Lee Cheol-min, and Yang Sang-guk. During the episode, Jo Hyun Ah caught viewers’ attention as she talked about her friendships within the entertainment industry.
She first mentioned several celebrities she is close with, including Nana, Lee Sung-kyung, and P.O. Boasting about her “golden network,” Jo Hyun Ah jokingly said, “People might think I’m the one buying them nice things, taking care of them, and even singing for them, but actually they were fans of mine first.” Her humorous confession drew laughter in the studio.
However, the moment that especially drew attention was when she talked about her deep bond with Suzy. Jo Hyun Ah recalled the time her mother passed away and expressed sincere gratitude for Suzy’s support during that difficult period.

“Suzy is truly such a kind-hearted friend,” Jo Hyun Ah said. “If she can’t reach me, she’ll even come to my house just to check if I’m there she’d probably check my toes if she had to.” Her comment surprised everyone.
She then shared a more emotional story. “My mother collapsed, and that’s when we discovered her illness. Eventually we had to hold a funeral,” she explained. “Suzy stayed at the funeral hall for all three days.” According to Jo Hyun Ah, many visitors recognized the actress during the funeral, yet Suzy quietly remained by her side the entire time.
“She even came with me to the burial site and prayed for my mother,” Jo Hyun Ah continued. “Thanks to her, the pain of losing my mom was greatly comforted.” Her story revealed a touching side of Suzy’s character that moved both the studio and viewers.

Jo Hyun Ah concluded by saying that this was the story she truly wanted to share publicly. “Rather than just saying ‘I’m close with Suzy,’ I wanted to talk about this,” she said. “To me, Suzy is like a guardian angel.”
