On February 28, Somi posted several photos on her social media account along with the caption, “National Producers, you missed us, right?” a playful reference to the viewers who voted the group into existence a decade ago.
The shared images captured moments from 10 years ago when Somi was actively promoting with I.O.I. Dressed in matching white stage outfits, the members gathered backstage, posing closely together with youthful, fresh-faced charm that immediately drew attention. The photos showcased their innocent visuals and vibrant energy during their debut era.
In addition to group shots, Somi uploaded selfies, playful behind-the-scenes moments, concept photo shoots from I.O.I’s albums, snapshots from promotions, and memories from their successful concerts. The collection of images sparked a wave of nostalgia among longtime fans.
Fellow member Yoo Yeonjung reacted emotionally in the comments, writing, “Look at us… this is crazy,” expressing her affection for their shared memories. Fans also flooded the post with heartfelt responses such as “They were all so young,” “I really want to go to the concert,” “We’ve waited so long,” and “I.O.I revival,” showing overwhelming anticipation for the group’s return.

I.O.I is set to reunite this May for a special 10th anniversary project. Excluding Zhou Jieqiong and Kang Mina, who previously announced they would not participate, nine members Lim Nayoung, Chungha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Sohye, Yoo Yeonjung, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Jeon Somi are expected to take part in the commemorative activities.
Formed in 2016 through Mnet’s survival program Produce 101, I.O.I debuted in May of that year after being selected by national vote. The group quickly rose to fame with hit songs such as “Dream Girls,” “Whatta Man,” “Very Very Very,” and “Downpour,” earning widespread popularity both domestically and internationally.

Although I.O.I officially concluded activities in January 2017 following their final concert, the members have since built successful careers across music, acting, and variety entertainment. Now, a decade later, Somi’s nostalgic post has reignited excitement as fans eagerly await the group’s long-anticipated reunion.
