Recently, KATSEYE found itself embroiled in multiple controversies after appearing on The Tonight Show, one of which involved members Daniela and Sophia.
During a segment where the members were asked who they would body swap with, Daniela picked Sophia and said, “Just because she’s really good at lying…” The clip went viral on social media and was met with unexpected criticism as many felt that Daniela’s answer was disrespectful.
KATSEYE Daniela’s Shady Comment To Sophia Hit With Major Backlash
The criticism soon turned into vitriol, prompting Sophia to speak up. On February 7, KST, Sophia took to Weverse to speak directly to fans about the situation. She defended Daniela strongly, stating, “We love playing around, joking, and pranking each other. Daniela was just trying to say that I was good at it. I wasn’t bothered or hurt.” She added that she understood Daniela’s joke right away and played along through her reaction.
Sophia continued, expressing her love for Daniela, saying, “ I love my Dani. Please leave her alone. She’s one of the sweetest girls in my life. It’s all love, and I love y’all so much.”
The KATSEYE member concluded her message, urging fans to stop being unkind to others and saying, “Y’all hating on others, especially other women, is not cute.”
