Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin did not attend a scheduled press conference on January 28, amid the ongoing “NewJeans tampering” controversy. Her legal representative explained that Min was too emotionally affected by recent developments involving the families of NewJeans members to appear publicly.
The press event, titled “The Truth Behind Min Hee-jin’s Tampering Allegations and Davolink Stock Market Manipulation: Who Is Destroying K-Pop and Abetting Market Disruption?”, took place at 1 PM in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Attorney Kim Sun-woong of law firm Jiam, representing Min Hee-jin, addressed the press on her behalf. “Min Hee-jin was unable to attend today. There are several reasons, including issues concerning the families of the NewJeans members. After hearing about these matters, she was deeply shocked and found it too difficult to appear today,” Kim said.
The tampering allegations against Min Hee-jin first came to light in April 2024 when HYBE launched an audit, accusing her of attempting to seize management control of ADOR. Min was dismissed from her CEO position four months later.
In November 2024, NewJeans held an emergency press conference to announce their intention to terminate their exclusive contracts with ADOR, citing a breakdown in trust. ADOR responded with a lawsuit seeking confirmation of the contract’s validity. In October 2025, the court ruled in ADOR’s favor.

Although NewJeans declared a return to ADOR after the ruling, only three members Hyein, Haerin, and Hanni have reportedly finalized terms for their return. Minji remains in negotiation, while Danielle was officially expelled from the group on December 29, 2025, following a contract termination notice.
ADOR subsequently filed a lawsuit against Danielle, one of her family members, and Min Hee-jin, alleging they played key roles in the contract dispute and delays in the group’s reformation. The company is seeking approximately ₩43.1 billion in damages. All three individuals are currently responding through legal representation.
