Actress Seo Woo recently appeared on the YouTube channel Pure Sooncheol in a video titled “Seo Woo Is Here, the Memories Return (With Updates and Behind Stories)” . During the conversation, she spoke honestly about the changes she experienced after stepping away from show business.
“When I was actively working as a celebrity, there were people I was close to and people who treated me well, but almost none of them are around now,” Seo Woo said. “After I stopped working in the industry, I also found myself not wanting to see people anymore. Sometimes I wonder if some people only liked the version of me from back then.”
She continued, “I find myself thinking, ‘Is this happening because I’m no longer working?’ There were so many people like that. It really hit me.” Seo Woo reflected that she has witnessed people change repeatedly, from before her debut until now. “I’ve seen so many people change over time. In a way, it feels like that’s just how things work,” she said, expressing her conflicted emotions.

Seo Woo made her debut in 2007 with the film A Brand New Life, and went on to appear in notable works such as Crush and Blush, Paju, The Housemaid, and popular dramas including Flames of Desire and Cinderella’s Sister.
In 2016, she revealed that she was battling an autoimmune disease. Following her appearance in the 2019 film The House, she halted official entertainment activities. More recently, Seo Woo reassured fans by sharing an update on her health. “Over the past several years away from the spotlight, I worked very hard to become stronger,” she said. “Now, I’m truly very healthy.”
