BIGBANG’s Daesung has caused concern among fans after officially announcing that his Asia tour, “D’s WAVE ENCORE”, will come to an earlier-than-planned conclusion. The unexpected decision, revealed on January 17 (KST), was made due to ongoing health issues, specifically problems related to his throat and vocal condition.

On the same day, his agency D-Label released an official statement explaining the situation. The company expressed sincere gratitude to fans for their unwavering support throughout the “2025 Asia Tour: D’s WAVE ENCORE”, which had originally been scheduled to continue into the first half of 2026. However, after careful consultation with medical professionals and placing Daesung’s vocal health as the top priority, the decision was made to end the tour following the Osaka concert later this month.

D-Label emphasized that this was not an easy choice, but a necessary one to ensure Daesung’s full recovery and to prevent long-term damage that could affect his career. The statement concluded with heartfelt thanks to fans who have stood by Daesung throughout both the original tour and its encore performances.
Shortly after the announcement, Daesung personally addressed fans through his official fan page. He openly apologized, sharing that his voice had not been recovering as quickly as hoped, which left him feeling anxious and disappointed. “My voice isn’t improving the way I expected, and that’s been weighing on me every day,” he admitted candidly.

Beyond his apology, Daesung also reflected on the realities of an artist’s journey, noting that sometimes one must accept painful pauses and difficult moments in order to shine more brightly in the future. “Once again, I’m truly sorry—and more than anything, I’m deeply grateful to you all,” he wrote, a message that quickly drew empathy and support from fans.
Before deciding to conclude the tour early, Daesung successfully wrapped up his “D’s WAVE ENCORE – Seoul” concerts, held from January 2 to 4 at TicketLink Live Arena. The shows were made even more memorable by a surprise appearance from fellow BIGBANG member Taeyang, igniting excitement and speculation about the group’s future activities.

During the event, hints were shared suggesting that BIGBANG may reunite for a special stage at Coachella in April 2026, raising anticipation despite the premature end of Daesung’s solo tour. While fans are disappointed by the early closure of “D’s WAVE ENCORE”, hopeful signs about Daesung’s recovery and BIGBANG’s potential full-group activities continue to fuel optimism and anticipation among fans worldwide.
