On January 4, a new video titled “The First Year of Becoming Mom and Dad | Hysterosalpingography, 2026 Countdown, Hiking Cheonggyesan” was uploaded to Ailee‘s YouTube channel. In the video, Ailee visits an obstetrics and gynecology clinic with her husband, Choi Si Hoon, to undergo a hysterosalpingography procedure as part of their IVF journey.
Trying to calm her nerves by playing a game, Ailee said, “I’m so nervous that I keep doing the same thing over and over. I heard it hurts, so I’m scared.”
Choi Si Hoon mentioned their baby’s nickname, saying, “Coco, you have to be good to Mom and Dad,” to which Ailee responded with a laugh, “We already made a nickname for a baby that doesn’t even exist yet. It might not even happen.”
After arriving at the clinic and completing the procedure, Ailee admitted, “It hurt,” but tried not to show how difficult it was. The couple leaned their heads together and looked at each other affectionately.
After finishing all medical appointments, the two stopped by a restaurant. Recalling the procedure, Ailee said, “When I went in saying ‘I’ll be back,’ the first thing I saw was expectant mothers lying on hospital beds.” She continued, “Some were in extreme pain, and others were lying there because the anesthesia hadn’t worn off yet.”

She added, “When I was getting the procedure to open my fallopian tubes, it was really painful. What scared me more was hearing, ‘If it hurts too much, don’t endure it—some people faint if they hold it in.’”
Ailee went on to say, “After the procedure, they told me to lie down for about ten minutes. The images of the expectant mothers I saw earlier kept coming back to me, and I thought about how everyone endures such difficult and painful processes because they want children.” She added emotionally, “As I was lying there, tears just kept falling. I cried together with them, hoping everyone would succeed.”
Meanwhile, Ailee and Choi Si Hoon got married in May of last year at a location in Gangnam, Seoul.
