Former Kwon Mina , previously a member of AOA , raised serious concern after posting an alarming message on social media that appeared to hint at suicidal intent. The post was uploaded on January 1 and was later deleted.
In the message, Kwon Mina wrote, “Goodbye. And I’m sorry,” while expressing extreme emotional distress and repeatedly apologizing to those who had followed her story. She stated that she had not been in a stable mental state and described herself as feeling deeply wronged by a series of past incidents. She also referenced previous trauma, including sexual assault, explaining that while certain aspects had been acknowledged, other parts had not been legally proven, which added to her sense of injustice.

Shortly after the post was made public, it was confirmed that Kwon Mina attempted suicide in the early hours of New Year’s Day but was urgently rescued before the situation became fatal. She later shared additional posts describing the incident and her loss of consciousness, though these messages were also deleted.
Kwon Mina debuted with AOA in 2012 and left the group in 2019, later alleging prolonged bullying by fellow members. At the time, her claims drew widespread sympathy and attention. However, in subsequent years, she became involved in multiple controversies, including accusations of abusing medical staff and inconsistencies in her public explanations, which led to divided public opinion.
Most recently, Kwon Mina briefly signed an exclusive contract with a new agency before terminating it within a short period. She has also announced plans related to future fan activities.
