At the awards ceremony held on December 30 at the MBC Media Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul, Lee Sun-bin co-hosted the event alongside veteran broadcaster Kim Sung-joo. The evening featured several lighthearted moments, but one stood out in particular.

When actor Jo Jae-yoon took the stage to present the Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards, he greeted the hosts and, in a playful tone, said to Lee Sun-bin, “Invite me to your wedding when you get married.” The comment was a clear reference to her public relationship with actor Lee Kwang-soo, with whom she has been dating since 2016 and went public in 2018.
Without missing a beat, Lee Sun-bin smiled brightly and replied, “Of course. Definitely.” Her confident and cheerful response drew laughter and applause from the audience, with Jo Jae-yoon quickly replying, “Thank you!”
During the Best Couple Award segment—determined by viewer votes—Lee was nominated alongside actor Kim Young-dae for their roles in To the Moon. Reflecting on their kiss scene, she explained, “Our kiss scene felt more like an action sequence. We had to rehearse it a lot, so it almost felt choreographed,” before bashfully admitting, “Now that I say it, I feel embarrassed.”
When asked about their award pledge, she joked, “Young-dae will be enlisting soon, so if we win as a couple, I might consider visiting him during military service. That’s sweet, right?” Her humorous tone sparked laughter, showing her natural flair for live television.

However, the lightheartedness took another turn when host Kim Sung-joo unexpectedly asked, “Kim Young-dae… or Lee Kwang-soo?”—a cheeky reference to her real-life boyfriend. Caught off-guard, Lee Sun-bin jokingly deflected with, “Kim Sung-joo,” prompting roars of laughter from the crowd.
This isn’t the first time the couple has made headlines for their endearing public interactions. Just a month prior, at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, Lee Sun-bin was seen playfully mimicking binoculars with her hands to focus on Lee Kwang-soo as he appeared on stage as a presenter. The sweet gesture caused laughter from the audience and left Lee Kwang-soo visibly flustered, using his cue card to cover his face in embarrassment.

Lee Sun-bin and Lee Kwang-soo are widely known as one of the industry’s most beloved “long-term couples.” Their relationship began after they met on SBS’s Running Man in 2016. Since confirming their relationship in 2018, they’ve remained relatively low-key but supportive of each other’s careers.
While the two have not made any official announcements about marriage, fans continue to root for the couple, and moments like these only deepen the public’s affection for their steady love story.
As the year ends, Lee Sun-bin’s composed yet affectionate response at the awards has once again reminded fans why she and Lee Kwang-soo remain one of Korean entertainment’s most admired pairs.
