On December 27, JYP released an official statement via its social media channels titled “Update on Legal Action Regarding Infringement of Artist Rights.” The agency announced that it is actively pursuing strong legal measures to protect Stray Kids from defamation, slander, and malicious online attacks that violate the group’s fundamental rights.
According to the statement, JYP has been working with professional monitoring agencies to collect evidence in real time from both domestic and international online communities and social media platforms. This includes posts and comments containing false information, defamatory remarks, malicious mockery, and targeted harassment aimed at the group.

Based on the accumulated evidence, the company has continuously filed criminal complaints and civil lawsuits against perpetrators. JYP revealed that investigative authorities have recently obtained warrants and successfully identified some of the accused individuals, with formal investigations now underway.
The agency also noted that through cooperation with courts and investigative bodies both in Korea and overseas, it has been able to confirm the identities of individuals who posted malicious content on foreign platforms as well.
JYP emphasized its unwavering position, stating, “We will continue to cooperate closely with law enforcement agencies and courts to ensure that perpetrators receive strict punishment. There will be absolutely no leniency or agreements at any stage of this process.”
In addition, the company expressed gratitude to STAY, Stray Kids’ global fandom, for their continued support. JYP encouraged fans to actively submit reports and evidence related to illegal activities, noting that fan-provided materials play a crucial role in legal proceedings.
The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of the agency’s commitment: “We will always place our artists first and do our utmost to protect their rights and well-being.”
As Stray Kids continue to expand their global presence, JYP’s announcement sends a strong message that malicious behavior online or otherwise will not be tolerated.
