Set to premiere on December 19, tvN’s Reply 1988 10th Anniversary is a variety program that follows the original cast as they embark on a nostalgic one-night, two-day trip to commemorate a decade since the drama first aired. The show promises to revive the warmth of Ssangmun-dong, along with legendary memories that defined one of Korea’s most iconic dramas.
In a 15-second teaser released on December 15, viewers were given a glimpse of the long-awaited reunion. The Ssangmun-dong families Deok-sun’s, Taek’s, Jung-bong’s, Dong-ryong’s, and Sun-woo’s gather once again, appearing almost unchanged despite the passage of time. The brief footage alone stirred deep nostalgia among fans.

Among the most emotional moments was Park Bo-gum’s simple yet heartfelt line: “I missed you.” His words, directed at the reunited cast including Hye-ri, instantly reminded viewers of Choi Taek’s quiet affection and sincerity. Meanwhile, Kim Sung-kyun and Ahn Jae-hong recreated their iconic greeting “Nice to see you, really nice to see you” complete with familiar gestures, drawing laughter and applause.
However, the warmth of the reunion doesn’t last long. The teaser hints at unexpected twists, showing the cast plunged into chaos during a game segment, raising curiosity about what surprises await them during the trip.
Interest in the program has been overwhelming. A previously released highlight video neared 1.2 million views within a day, and the short teaser has continued to fuel excitement among longtime fans of the Reply series.

The anniversary special features an all-star lineup, including Sung Dong-il, Lee Il-hwa, Ra Mi-ran, Kim Sung-kyun, Choi Moo-sung, Kim Sun-young, Yoo Jae-myung, Ryu Hye-young, Hye-ri, Ryu Jun-yeol, Go Kyung-pyo, Park Bo-gum, Ahn Jae-hong, Lee Dong-hwi, Choi Sung-won, and Lee Min-ji bringing together the full ensemble that once led the “Reply 1988 syndrome.”
Marking both the drama’s 10th anniversary and tvN’s 20th anniversary edition, Reply 1988 10th Anniversary will premiere on December 19 at 8:40 p.m. KST, promising laughter, nostalgia, and perhaps a few tears for fans who grew up with Ssangmun-dong.
