On the December 7 episode of SBS’s variety show Running Man, Yoo Jae-suk once again showcased the discipline and generosity that earned him the title of Korea’s “Nation’s MC.”
During the broadcast, the members unanimously marveled at Yoo Jae-suk’s famously early routine, joking, “You can’t beat Yoo Jae-suk—he gets up at 5 a.m.!” The discussion soon shifted to fellow member Kim Jong-kook and his sleep schedule. When asked about his bedtime, Kim shared, “When I was single, I used to stay up late,” prompting Yoo to quip, “Aren’t you still single? Did you get married?” The lighthearted moment drew laughter from everyone.

Kim Jong-kook responded with a smile, saying, “It still hasn’t hit me. Since getting married, I feel like I’m living a new bachelor life.” He added that he now goes to bed around midnight to 1 a.m., reflecting a more regular routine in his newlywed life.
Despite concerns about early filming the next day, Yoo remained unfazed, joking, “Why are you all fussing? That’s why you’re amateurs,” drawing another round of laughter.
However, the most memorable moment came later when Yoo Jae-suk subtly showed his generous side. At a group meal with the staff and production crew, he respectfully declined a discount offer and paid the full amount—over 150,000 won—without hesitation. His quiet act of kindness left even his fellow members in awe.
Without flashy gestures or dramatic words, Yoo Jae-suk demonstrated his trademark thoughtfulness. From his strict routines to his considerate actions, this episode once again affirmed why he is rightfully known as the “Nation’s MC.“
