The 2025 [MAMA] Awards, held at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on November 29, opened with a tribute to the recent tragic fire in the city. Presenters and artists alike wore black ribbons and maintained a solemn atmosphere to honor the victims. Despite the somber mood, awards were presented — with Stray Kids winning Album of the Year and G‑Dragon receiving Artist of the Year, among other major honors.

The ceremony began with a message of condolence for the victims of the Hong Kong fire, under the motto “Support Hong Kong.” Presenters appeared wearing black ribbons. The host, Kim Hye‑soo, expressed deep sorrow, offering heartfelt condolences to those affected and hoping for Hong Kong’s recovery.

Many presenters and artists participated in the tribute. They offered words of comfort and solidarity — voicing sympathy for victims, gratitude toward rescue workers, and hopes for healing through the power of music.
The awards proceeded under a respectful, subdued atmosphere — balancing remembrance with the recognition of musical achievements.
