The story was revealed in the November 25 episode of Kian84’s YouTube show Life84, titled “With Lee Joo-bin.” Meeting at an amusement park, Kian84 mentioned her viral ID photo, saying it had become well known across online communities.
Lee Joo-bin explained that the photo, taken in 2017, brought unexpected trouble despite its popularity. She shared, “I thought it would be nice that the photo became famous, but…” before detailing the distressing series of events.

According to the actress, her picture was stolen and used by scammers posing as consultants, insurance agents, investment advisors, and even used-car dealers. “They used my face to trick people into investing. My resident registration card was even forged, and I received a notice requiring me to appear in court,” she revealed.
She added, “My agency also received calls asking if I was involved in an investment scam. There were multiple scam cases using that photo.”

Kian84 jokingly responded, “Your face looks too trustworthy. If someone like you tried to sell me something, I’d probably buy it,” drawing laughter.
During the conversation, Lee Joo-bin also shared a lesser-known part of her past: she was once part of the debut lineup for girl group Rainbow. “I trained briefly in high school. It wasn’t because I desperately wanted to be a celebrity trainees only had to attend school until the fourth period. I wasn’t passionate about studying at the time, so I became a trainee to skip classes,” she admitted.
Lee Joo-bin is set to appear in the upcoming 2026 tvN drama Spring Fever.
