On November 24, Kim Eui-sung took to his personal social media account and wrote, “I’ve finished all filming for ‘Taxi Driver 3’ and am heading home. The thought that this might really be the last time leaves my heart heavy.” Along with the caption, he shared a selfie in a purple sweater, visibly touched by the end of a long journey with the series.
Throughout the season, Kim portrayed Jang Sung-chul the CEO of Rainbow Taxi Company and the Director of Blue Bird Foundation serving as the emotional anchor of the show. As a symbolic character deeply loved by fans, he added, “I’m thankful to all the actors and staff who went through this together, and to everyone who supported us.”

Co-star Lee Je-hoon commented, “You’ve worked so hard, CEO Jang. Please always take care of your health. I love you.” Actress Pyo Ye-jin echoed, “We love you, CEO Jjang,” highlighting the strong camaraderie on set.
Taxi Driver 3, based on the webtoon of the same name, follows the story of Rainbow Taxi Company and driver Kim Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon), as they take justice into their own hands to help victims get revenge. The series has been written by Oh Sang-ho, who has penned all three seasons, and directed by Kang Bo-seung, who was previously an assistant director on Season 1, expanding the show’s intricate universe.

Early in the season, fans speculated whether Kim’s character, despite his good deeds, might be a surprise villain. Before the season aired, Kim joked in response, “I don’t understand why people still can’t trust him. Jang Sung-chul is a righteous man.”
Taxi Driver 3 premiered with a strong national rating of 9.5% (Nielsen Korea), marking a successful launch. As the character Jang Sung-chul bows out, Kim Eui-sung’s emotional farewell leaves fans both sentimental and hopeful for what’s next.
