K-Drama’s representative grandpa Lee Soon Jae has passed away at the age of 91.
According to his family, Lee Soon Jae passed away early in the morning of November 25 at the age of 91. He had been acting right up until his hiatus from acting in October 2025, citing health issues.
Lee Soon Jae debuted as a television actor in 1961 and his list of appearances spans over 100 noteworthy K-Dramas, movies, and variety shows. Some of his more recent appearances avid Korean entertainment viewers may recognize include the variety shows Grandpas Over Flowers and Idol School, movies About Family and Good Morning, and K-Dramas Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, High Kick Through the Roof, and Again My Life.
