Kim Jaejoong, OG K-Pop idol-turned-CSO of iNKODE—a management agency he founded after leaving C-JeS Studios, officially introduced all debuting members of his new boy group called INTHE X (or INTHE X Project).

In addition to the four contestants from Boys II Planet, six more trainees have been revealed, marking INTHE X a ten-member boy group in the making.

Bottom (left to right): Peng Jinyu, Rukia, Sun Jia Yang, Mano, Masato
The full lineup, however, has not been received well by K-Pop fans. The inclusion of Peng Jinyu has particularly raised eyebrows, as the member comes with a history of making hate posts about BTS‘s Jungkook, aespa, and TWICE.
Fans expressed doubt about Kim Jaejoong’s producing skills, pointing out the excessive makeup, unnatural Photoshopping, and overall lack of “visuals.”

- “What’s going on with the Photoshopping? It looks so unnatural. The eyes are terrifying.”
- “I don’t like any of them.”
- “Not sure about this…”
- “I recognize some of them from Boys II Planet. I don’t get why they were Photoshopped like this. They look way better in the videos than in these photos.”
- “I’m turned off by the heavy makeup… Is this what Kim Jaejoong himself likes? It’s excessive.”
- “Um…? LMAO. I mean, I do think it’s the over-editing that’s the problem. I’ll have to see them in videos.”
- “Yeah, that’s the guy… He’s the one who apologized for making hate posts about BTS’s Jungkook, TWICE, and aespa.”
- “These photos aren’t doing them justice, IMO. Just based on what I saw on Boys II Planet, LOL. Masato actually looks like Im Siwan.”
- “Peng Jinyu…?”
- “I’m surprised by how I don’t find any of them interesting.”
- “Maybe I got my hopes up too high.”

- “I don’t like any of them.”
- “They’re all wearing the same style of makeup, it’s impossible to tell them apart.”
- “Peng Jinyu? The hater?”
- “Not interested.”
- “Their makeup is so tacky, it’s giving 2nd or 3rd generation K-Pop boy group makeup.”
- “Maybe it’s the makeup, but they all look the same to me… I can’t tell from these photos whether I like them or not. They should probably go lighter on the makeup.”
- “I don’t like any of them.”
- “They all look so young, though… How old are they?”
- “The last two are OK, I think.”
- “Isn’t Peng Jinyu the hater? I remember him from Boys II Planet.”
- “I don’t really like any of them. They all look the same.”
Will this boy group, which already includes a member deemed problematic by many fans, survive the brutal K-Pop industry?
Stay tuned for updates.
