On November 16, the YouTube channel ‘Fairy Jae-hyung’ uploaded a new episode titled “Yoo-jung, whom we’ve all practically raised since age 4 — her broadcast life and the stories behind it.” During the episode, Kim Yoo-jung appeared as a guest and candidly shared her lifelong relationship with food, from childhood to adulthood.
Host Jung Jae-hyung asked her, “I heard you’re a big eater. But you’re so thin?” Kim Yoo-jung responded honestly, saying, “These days, I can’t eat much because I’m always managing myself… but my whole family eats a lot. My older sister, older brother, Dad, and Mom—we’re all big eaters.”
When the conversation shifted to her Paris Fashion Week visit and body maintenance, Kim Yoo-jung recalled the emotional toll of her childhood dieting.

She shared, “When I was young, it was a time when you want to eat a lot, but I wasn’t allowed to. That made me really sad. I’ve always been someone who eats a lot. I’m truly passionate about eating—eating used to be my entire world.”
She added another memory from her school days: “One day, I suddenly thought, ‘Why do I have to stop myself from eating?’ In middle and high school, I had a snack box hidden in my closet. I once ate everything inside within 10 minutes. My mom saw and was shocked.”

Kim Yoo-jung’s heartfelt confession resonated with viewers, especially those familiar with the pressures young celebrities face regarding body image and self-management. Her honest storytelling highlighted both her struggles and her enduring love for food, revealing a relatable, human side behind her glamorous public image.
