It’s been three years since his first introduction.
In July 2022, SM Entertainment introduced a new set of SM Rookies, all three of whom were supposed to be members of a new NCT unit.

This turned out not to be the case.
Two of the rookies, Eunseok and Seunghan (XngHan), were announced instead to join SM Entertainment’s new boy group, RIIZE. The third rookie, Shohei, was announced to take a health-related hiatus and vanished for several months.

In 2024, this changed — Shohei was announced as part of the lineup of MYTRO, a trot boy group created by SM Entertainment, which also included older idols. The group performed at an SMTOWN concert after completing the survival show and subsequently participated in other activities.

However, their debut, planned for early 2025, never materialized, and by May, all of the group’s accounts had been deleted. Fans again wondered what happened to Shohei, who shared a song seemingly venting out his anger over the situation.
Now, over three years after his initial introduction, Shohei finally appears to be debuting.

On November 6, the idol shared two new accounts on X and TikTok, which revealed he had signed to SM C&C as a new artist.

The idol also addressed fans on Instagram, stating that he was excited for his new start.
Hello, this is Shohei.
