An incident involving an actor and a group of stalkers recently went viral. Now, his agency is addressing the encounter on his behalf. Unfortunately, it’s not the first time he has been stalked.
Ao Ruipeng is a Chinese actor who gained popularity for his roles in The Blood of Youth (2022) and Moonlight Mystique (2025). Over this past weekend, he went viral on Weibo, becoming one of the social media platform’s most-discussed topics within hours, thanks to a viral video.
The video shows Ao standing directly in front of a car that had allegedly been following him, and calmly confronting the passengers. Though the situation easily could have escalated into a dangerous encounter, Ao remained cool-headed and polite while blocking the vehicle with his body.
In a statement released on November 2, Ao Ruipeng Studio revealed that the incident had been reported to the police.
We reported it to the traffic police as soon as it occurred. We’ll fully cooperate with any investigations and follow all police instructions.

The agency also shed light on what Ao and his staff have endured because of overzealous individuals who have stalked Ao repeatedly backstage at events, in public, at private gatherings with friends, and in airport VIP zones. During one incident, which was not made public until now, one staff member was dragged several meters while trying to stop a car from pursuing Ao.

Ao Ruipeng Studio will now be revising its approach to security to protect Ao and the staff.
After this incident, we’ve re-evaluated our approach and will ensure security personnel are present at all future activities.
