On November 5, LE SSERAFIM members Kim Chaewon and Huh Yunjin appeared on Hyoyeon’s YouTube channel “Hyo’s Level Up.” During the show, Hyoyeon brought up Kim Chaewon’s now-viral “dododok” moment a humorous mishap during a concert where she accidentally said “You’re my dododok” instead of “You’re my comrade.” The clip quickly became a popular meme online.

Addressing the incident, Kim Chaewon explained, “I didn’t realize I messed up so badly. But when I saw the monitor, I noticed how awkward it looked. I broke into a cold sweat.” When Hyoyeon mentioned that many admire her natural sense of humor, Huh Yunjin agreed, adding, “It’s not forced she was just born with that kind of charm.”

The mood shifted as the two recalled their recent performance at the launch ceremony for South Korea’s Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange. Kim Chaewon admitted, “I was really nervous. The president was sitting right in front of us. We made eye contact while singing, and I couldn’t even try to be charming on stage. I was way too tense.”

Huh Yunjin chimed in with her own experience: “The songs we prepared were the kind that usually involve fan interaction. But in that setting, we couldn’t exactly pass the mic to the president, so we just kept the energy up between ourselves. Honestly, it was very nerve-wracking.”

Their honest and light-hearted reflection provided fans a rare glimpse behind the curtain of what it’s like to perform under the intense spotlight of national-level events.
