Korean entertainment magazine JoyNews24 recently marked its 21st anniversary with a survey involving 110 industry experts, who were asked about various scandals and crimes in the entertainment industry that occurred throughout the year. The title of “Worst Person Of The Year” was awarded with this survey, along with several “honorable” mentions.
Here are scandals, crimes, and more that made the list.
7. Seungri And Yoon Ji On
Former BIGBANG member Seungri received two votes, with his recent activities in Cambodia being attributed to his past crimes and involvement in the Burning Sun Scandal resurfacing.

Actor Yoon Ji On also received two votes following his DUI case in September.
6. Min Hee Jin
Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin earned three votes amid the establishment of her new agency, due to her current lawsuit with HYBE.

5. Baek Jong Won
Baek Jong Won is a celebrity chef and businessman whose business, TheBorn Korea, was investigated over incorrect labeling and violating various food regulation policies. He received four votes.

4. Kim Se Ui And Jung Woo Wung
Kim Se Ui, the individual behind the GaroSero Institute YouTube channel, received five votes. Actor Jung Woo Sung also received five votes in connection with his cheating scandal that involved a child born out of wedlock with model Moon Gabi.

3. Taeil
Former NCT member Taeil earned seven votes, coming in third overall. The former idol was sentenced to three and a half years in prison after being convicted of rape, and is currently in the appeals process.

2. Bang Si Hyuk
HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk came in second with eight votes, attributed to the ongoing investigation into alleged financial fraud.

1. Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Jin Ho
Kim Soo Hyun tied for first place with twenty eight votes due to a scandal involving the now deceased Kim Sae Ron. He was accused of dating the actress while she was underaged and contributing to her passing.

Comedian Lee Jin Ho also received twenty eight votes and was involved in multiple scandals in the last year. While being investigated for gambling, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated and the subsequent reporting is alleged to have caused the death of his girlfriend.

Also mentioned in the article were other “scandals” that were named amongst the voting — Ju Haknyeon, who left THE BOYZ after a dating controversy, actress Hwang Jung Eum, who was accused of embezzling billions of won from her company and investing it in cryptocurrency, and producer Seo Hye Jin, creator of MBN’s audition program Under Fifteen, which drew criticism for the sexualization of minors, along with other celebs.
