NMIXX’s Haewon has officially earned the title of JYP Entertainment’s “official variety idol”, charming viewers with her wit and self-awareness during her latest appearance on Salon Drip.
On November 4, the YouTube channel TEO released Episode 113 of its popular talk show Salon Drip, featuring NMIXX members Lily and Haewon.
During the show, host Jang Do-yeon mentioned that JYP artists have a strong reputation for their sense of humor and on-screen chemistry.
“Many JYP artists have visited ‘Salon Drip,’ and each time, people talk about JYP’s variety lineage,” Jang said. “Among them, Haewon was mentioned as someone with an outstanding natural talent for entertainment.”
Fellow member Lily agreed, saying:
“She’s been funny from the start. I’ve never met anyone who made me laugh this much.”

Haewon explained that while she enjoys making people laugh, her humor often differs between on-screen and off-screen settings.
“When I’m not filming, I like to make people laugh with words. But my broadcast image is kind of chaotic,” she said, referencing her “Workdol” appearance. “My friends actually called me after that and said, ‘What’s wrong with you? Why were you like that?’”
Haewon also described herself as an introvert (I) in MBTI terms, admitting that she becomes bolder when filming.
“When the camera is on, I finally have a reason to talk. It gives me an excuse to joke around without worrying that people might misunderstand me,” she said.
Jang Do-yeon agreed, adding:
“That’s so true. Even I get a little nervous talking without a mic after recording ends.”
Their candid exchange drew laughter from viewers and highlighted Haewon’s self-awareness and professionalism, qualities that have quickly made her a standout among fourth-generation idols.
Haewon joins the ranks of JYP’s most beloved variety idols, following in the footsteps of 2PM’s Nichkhun, TWICE’s Nayeon, and ITZY’s Yuna. With her natural wit, expressive reactions, and confident charm, Haewon is already being praised as one of the next major variety personalities in K-pop.
