On the November 3 episode of the YouTube channel “Zzanbro Shin Dong-yup,” Song Ji-hyo appeared as a guest alongside actor Kim Byung-chul.
During the conversation, host Shin Dong-yup brought up a familiar societal pressure, saying, “Adults always ask why you’re not married, why you don’t have kids, or which university you’re going to especially around holidays.” He then added, “It seems like Ji-hyo isn’t particularly interested in marriage.”

To this, Song Ji-hyo responded, “That’s not true. It’s not that I don’t think about marriage at all. If I meet someone who respects my lifestyle, I’m open to being together for life.” She added, “I’m not young anymore, and I don’t like it when external factors disrupt my daily routine.”
She went on to explain, “I don’t believe love means two lives completely merging. I think it’s about finding a shared intersection. If we align, that’s great. But even if we don’t, I’d be okay as long as that person doesn’t disturb my lifestyle.”

Shin Dong-yup then asked, “So if such a person exists, you’d want to be with them forever?” Song answered confidently, “Yes, I would.”
The conversation turned lighthearted when Shin asked Kim Byung-chul if he was anti-marriage. Kim replied, “I often wonder if it’s possible to meet someone with just that shared intersection. Relationships naturally bring change, and that can be uncomfortable, but I think that’s part of what you accept when you meet someone.”

Song Ji-hyo playfully challenged him with a scenario: “What if you had a girlfriend who lovingly cooks beef for you, packs you lunch, and takes care of all three meals but she has bad sleeping habits?” Kim responded, “Then I’d stay with her until bedtime and sleep separately.”
She followed up, “But what if she wants to be by your side when you wake up?” Kim caused laughter as he replied, “Then I’ll wake up when she does.”
At 44, Song Ji-hyo’s thoughtful and realistic perspective on love and marriage resonated with many, blending maturity with warmth and a touch of humor.
