Singer Sung Si Kyung has reportedly suffered significant financial losses following the resignation of his longtime manager, with whom he had worked for over a decade.
According to a MyDaily exclusive report on November 3, Sung Si Kyung recently parted ways with the manager who had been by his side for more than ten years. The former manager had been responsible for handling practical operations related to concerts, TV appearances, advertisements, and events, having worked with Sung Si Kyung since their previous agency days. For years, they maintained a close and professional relationship.
However, the report states that the reason that Sung parted ways with the manager was as the latter had caused multiple work-related problems, which led to financial losses for Sung Si Kyung, his management team, and related external vendors. While the exact amount of damages was not disclosed, industry sources claim it is a considerable sum.
Both Sung Si Kyung and his agency, SK Jaewon, only learned of the issue way later. Upon discovering the misconduct, they immediately terminated all business relations with the manager, who has since left the company.
An agency representative stated that Sung was heartbroken over the betrayal due to the long time he had spent with the manager.
“Sung Si Kyung is deeply heartbroken over the matter, as this was someone he trusted and worked with for a long time. However, since acts of betrayal were confirmed, the company could no longer overlook the issue and decided to end all working relations. The manager has now left the company.”
