He was finally able to clear his name.
Actor and former U-KISS member Lee Jun Young (also known as Jun) previously went viral for accidentally calling a fan ugly during a video call fansign. The video, with over 2 million views on X now, shows the actor during a fan interaction, where he says, “Are you okay? Being ugly?” in Korean. The fan had tried to get him to recite “Are you okay? You puke when you see ugly things so look at me,” but due to the line spacings, he ended up only reciting a portion of it, inadvertently calling the fan ugly.

First, the fan is not ugly, and they also ended up laughing at this. I felt so sorry that my expression was like that. What happened was that they were holding up a paper that said ‘Are you okay? You puke when you see ugly things so look at me,’ but split into two lines. All I did was work hard to read the paper. To be honest, I still don’t get [the meme.] ‘Are you okay? You puke when you see ugly things so look at me.’ It’s pretty hard. Anyway, my friends keep sending it to me too, asking if they’re okay.
It turns out, he had simply struggled with understanding the modern meme, as well as with reading out the fan’s request! While no one took the matter to heart in the first place, at least his name is now cleared!
