She had to go to the police after the company failed to address the situation.
A well-known variety show producer, identified as “A,” has been accused of sexual harassment by a production staff member.

According to Korea Economic Daily’s report on October 31, a junior staff member, “B,” who was working in the production team of a popular variety program, filed a complaint with the Mapo Police Station in Seoul this August against PD “A.” The victim claimed that during an after-work team dinner, “A” made unwanted physical contact with her despite her explicit rejection.
After this incident, B claimed that she was verbally humiliated by the producer and was later removed from the production team. Attorney Lee Eun Ui, who is representing the victim in this case, told the media that “B” initially sought to resolve the issue within the company. But the internal measures proved utterly insufficient, pushing her to file a police report.
The broadcasting company reportedly investigated the incident internally and found the claims of sexual harassment credible. However, the probe did not recognize the claims of workplace bullying and retaliation.
PD “A,” however, has denied all the charges, labeling the incident as a misunderstanding. Both sides have filed objections to the internal investigation’s findings, which means the case must undergo further review by relevant authorities.
Though the broadcasting company has not revealed whether the producer’s current programs will be suspended while the investigation continues, insiders have noted that this case could significantly impact upcoming variety show schedules, given the producer’s longstanding reputation in the industry. Notably, the police are still investigating the allegations, and no charges have been confirmed officially.
