Taiwanese actress Jian Tingrui has spoken out amid the ongoing scandal involving her close friend, former cheerleader-turned-celebrity Guo Guo, who has been accused of having an extramarital affair with singer and actor Prince Chiu (Qiu Shengyi).
The controversy erupted after Guo Guo’s husband, actor Fan Jiang Yanfeng, released a video publicly accusing his wife of cheating with Prince. He expressed his anger online, stating that her actions had “destroyed their family” and “shattered moral boundaries.”
Adding to the drama, netizens noticed that Fan Jiang unfollowed Jian Tingrui and actor Wang Pinhao, both of whom accompanied Guo Guo and Prince on their recent trip to the U.S., where the alleged affair reportedly began.
After two days of silence, Jian Tingrui took to Instagram Stories to release a personal statement, distancing herself from the controversy and rejecting the speculation that she was complicit.
“Although I am friends with the people involved, I absolutely do not support any improper behavior,” Jian wrote.
She further clarified:
“My focus has always been on my family and my work. I have not had any inappropriate relationship with anyone.”
“I have not been in contact with the people mentioned for quite some time, and I only learned about what happened through the news. I understand the emotions this has caused, but I hope everyone will refrain from overinterpreting and affecting my family.”
The actress ended her statement by thanking fans for their concern and asking the public to respect her privacy.
Fan Jiang’s accusations have turned the so-called “U.S. group” which included Guo Guo, Prince Chiu, Wang Pinhao, and Jian Tingrui into the center of public attention. Rumors have spread suggesting that other couples might have also formed within the group, though none of these claims have been verified.
