The couple has already divorced.
It was belatedly revealed that the son of a famous celebrity couple has been sent to the prosecution on charges of assaulting and threatening his wife during their marriage.
According to Newsis on October 30, 2025, Guri Police Station in Gyeonggi Province transferred a 31-year-old man, referred to as A, to the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors’ Office on September 30 on charges including assault, threats, and obstruction of business.
A is accused of hitting his then-wife, a 28-year-old B, in the face while she was attempting to drive near Gyomun-dong, Guri, on September 29 last year. He allegedly also took away her phone to prevent her from reporting the incident and threatened her.
In an interview with Newsis, B claimed that she regretted everything.
“A wasn’t gentle even when we were dating, nor during our marriage. I just want to go back to before I met him,” adding, “What happened to me doesn’t matter anymore, but what my family went through because of him was too much.”
A has denied all accusations, downplaying the situation.
“When people date, small arguments or scuffles can happen. Nothing has been decided yet.”
The couple reportedly finalized their divorce through mediation on March 5 of this year.
