Plot twist, she’s not even pregnant.

What is a girl to do when she is not pregnant, but the whole world is hating on her “baby bump”? In the case of trot singer Hong Jin Young, she decided to face the hate head-on and address the belly in the latest episode of SBS‘s Dolsing Fourmen.

On the show, Hong Jin Young talked about her fancam that went viral for all the wrong reasons. While the video from July 2025 was meant to capture the trot singer’s incredible performance at a festival, viewers decided to focus on her shape instead.
Some went on to spew hate at how much “fat” Hong Jin Young had gained around her stomach, while others speculated that the singer had gotten pregnant and childbirth is imminent.

- “Looks like she’s pregnant…”
- “Only her belly shows. It’s totally popped out.”
- “That looks like a baby bump…”
- “Her stomach’s really sticking out, she should’ve paid more attention to the outfit.”
- “Whoa, that’s shocking.”
- “LOL, I can’t stop looking there.”
- “Her belly… LOL.”
- “Oh my, her belly got so big?!”
In response, Hong Jin Young protested, “That’s not how I normally look! I was really upset with the person who filmed that,” expressing frustration over the unflattering angle that emphasized her stomach.

The singer admitted that the comments about her non-existent “baby bump” hurt her feelings…
The comments were hurtful. People were like ‘she’s three months pregnant,’ or ‘she’s about to give birth.’ People even commented that my belly button looked huge? But it’s not like that at all. You can even touch it and see, if you want…

…and clarified that the only baby she had in there was food baby. Bibimbap, to be exact.
I did eat a lot that day. I had octopus bibimbap. It was from one of my favorite restaurants!
